1. Jimbaran Beach

4. Mount Batur 

The sunrise hike on Mount Batur is one of the highlights of your Bali Tour. It’s not the most difficult of climbs but it can be a bit chilly at times so a good quality jacket is a must! 

Be warned – there’s a fair number of wild monkeys around here. They’re not usually aggressive but they will steal your snacks and drink if you leave them open. 

A rain poncho is also a good idea, especially if you’re hiking in the wet season. Don’t forget your trainers or proper hiking boots (not thongs or heels). They’ll give you a much better grip on the rocky terrain. 

5. Nusa Lembongan 

Nusa Lembongan is a quiet Island in Southeast Bali and part of the Nusa Penida district. It offers pristine sandy beaches, historic sites and religious spots amongst emerald green mountains and mangrove swamps. 

Don’t expect to find big department stores like Zara or Woolworths on Nusa Lembongan – but you will find plenty of boutiques that stock trendy Bali based brands as well as local knick-knacks. You can also rent a scooter to explore the Island. 

Most hotels on the Island have lovely infinity pools – and they are usually open to non-hotel guests! They are great for grabbing cool snaps and cooling down in the heat. 

6. Besakih Temple 

A visit to Bali tour isn’t complete without exploring Pura Besakih, the island’s biggest temple complex. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, this mother temple is home to three of the five gods in the Hindu trinity and has been central to Bali’s culture since ancient times. 

Aim to arrive during the Batara Turun Kabeh festival, where you can witness villagers from across the island converge at Besakih to pray for purification. During this time, the gods descend from their home in heaven and take residence at the largest temple in the complex. 

7. Uluwatu Temple 

One of Bali’s six key spiritual pillars, Uluwatu Temple stands dramatically perched on a cliff above the crashing surf below. Known as Pura Luhur Uluwatu, it attracts visitors for its enchanting location, exotic sightseeing and sunset viewing opportunities. 

A visit to this temple is most enjoyable in the evening when the sun creates a wonderful spectrum of colors behind this ancient relic. This is also the best time to watch the spellbinding Kecak Dance. Visitors are advised to dress appropriately (men should wear sarong and women should cover their shoulders) when visiting this sacred site.
